Trek Verve+
Photo art direction to support the launch of the new Verve+ 1 and Verve+ 3 e-bikes. Bonus, some BTS film photography.

The Verve+ family signifies my first experience art directing a lifestyle photoshoot on the ground. It also signaled a pivot for how Trek captures city bikes in North America, leaning more into mood and fashion, and leaning away from posed smiles.
Long story short, I pinch-hit for the project’s primary designer, traveling to Naples, FL to manage the shoot involving 2 models and 4 others on the Trek team.
ART DIRECTION
Due to the unique circumstances of my involvement, the talent, apparel, and city were selected before I stepped in.
Once on location, my role took shape. With the team, I scouted locations and then began to prioritize and plan our capture schedule over multiple days. Each day and location, I would curate outfits for the talent based on the pre-purchased options. During the shoot, I collaborated closely with the photographer and talent to achieve a refreshed look and feel for Trek’s city bikes.
BTS FILM PHOTOGRAPHY
In an attempt to capture a new aesthetic, I brought along a 35mm point and shoot film camera to capture BTS shots.
